  • Minimum of 8 years of industrial process engineering experience (screen printing and direct-to-garment experience is a plus)
  • Ability to quickly learn Custom Ink operational processes
  • Strong understanding of operational and performance data, and ability to use the data to drive operational improvements
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a team of peers and front-line team members, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Industrial Process Engineering degree (or similar degree)
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and an ability to discern when to apply in our environment

      • Implement a continuous improvement strategy that aligns with the business -objectives and goals, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor process against them to ensure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
      • Develop and deliver training programs to increase the understanding and adoption of continuous improvement principles and tools across the organization.
      • Lead and manage improvement projects across the organization, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, develop plans, and execute initiatives. -
      • Implement a Quality System to maximize quality at minimum cost supporting the objectives of the Robust Supply Design.
      • Learning and mastering the production processes used in screen print and digital decoration of garments, both in the industry and within "In House" Production (IHP). This includes extensive job shadowing within the IHPs, reading trade publications and internet articles, connecting with some of our key external print vendors, and attending the major trade shows.
      • Assisting in the testing for new processes, materials, and equipment, to allow us to increase production levels, improve quality and expand product offerings.
      • Helping to oversee the installation of new equipment (in coordination with the General Managers at each site) including gathering machine specs, conversations with the OEMs, understanding and ensuring electrical and other utility requirements are met, and scheduling the installation work up to the point the equipment goes live.
      • Support the design and execution of IHP expansion as we build out current sites and future sites.How you'll be measured:This role is critical to the continuing success of the business. Accordingly, key measures of success for the position will be:
        • Production Performance Metrics:
          • Analyze and share data that drives performance in a positive direction
          • Participate in equipment and process decisions that drive improved rates of productivity and labor use
          • Ensure that these decisions are executed accurately, in a timely manner, with minimal impact on current production
          • Financial Performance:
            • Analyze performance to understand financial impact, and make equipment, product, and process suggestions for opportunities to lower costs, improve quality, and expand product offerings
            • Process Improvement:
              • Refuse to accept the status quo of current procedures
              • -Be a leader in communicating process decisions and opportunities to the leaders and to the team
              • Prioritization:
                • Ensure we are rigorously prioritizing projects based on financial impact as well as impact on the team and daily productionHow you'll make a difference:
                  We seek an analytical, results-oriented, and innovative Director, Industrial Engineering to lead and coordinate efforts to continuously identify, assess, and improve processes, recipes, and practices leading to maximizing operational efficiency, productivity, capacity utilization, DEFOT (Deliver Error Free on Time), and profitability. You'll help analyze and optimize our "In House" Production (IHP) processes including material and equipment selections to deliver best-in-class production in a way that drives profit for the company. The emphasis will be on delivering best-in-class production in a way that drives profit and high quality for the company. You must understand what makes for an effective production operation and have the innovative and proactive mindset and organizational abilities to execute. -You will need to partner with the other Optimization team members, and General Manager, as well as with other key leaders and team members. You will be charged with a key role in IHP and will report to the VP of Production in Dallas, Texas. -
