Job Description:
We are seeking a Board-Eligible (BE) General Surgeon for an
ongoing Locum Tenens assignment in Texas, focused on providing
weekend call coverage to manage increased call volume. Assignment
Details Specialty: Surgery - General Start Date: February 6, 2026
End Date: December 31, 2026 Coverage Type: Call Only (Weekend Call)
EMR: Athena & Meditech License: Active Texas (TX) License required.
Credentialing Timeline: 45 Days Schedule & Scope of Work Schedule:
Weekend Call to help cover with Call Volume. Mostly ER call and
Inpatient work with possibility of some outpatient work. Call
shifts will generally be 7 am Friday to 7 am Monday twice a month.
Scope: The coverage will primarily involve ER call and Inpatient
work , with the possibility of some outpatient work. Requirements
Certification: Board Eligible (BE) . Life Support: BLS
required.
