Locum Tenens Opportunity: Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician
Near Fairfield, TX We are currently seeking a dedicated Obstetrics
and Gynecology Physician for a locum tenens position near
Fairfield, TX. This role is ideal for a board-certified or
board-eligible OB/GYN looking to provide exceptional patient care
in a focused inpatient setting. The position is call-only,
requiring coverage for specific dates, with the possibility of
ongoing assignments in the coming months. Position Overview:

Inpatient Key Responsibilities: Inpatient Call Coverage: Provide
call-only coverage, ensuring round-the-clock availability for
obstetric emergencies and gynecological care. Manage labor,
delivery, and postpartum care in a Level 1 nursery setting. Handle
an average of 30 deliveries per month, with full support from
anesthesia providers for pain relief during labor. Orientation and
Training: Attend a mandatory Epic system orientation the day before
the assignment. This 4-5 hour training ensures proficiency with the
EMR system, facilitating seamless integration into the clinical
team. Collaboration: Work closely with the hospital???s labor and
delivery team, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
Participate in both patient rounding and delivery suite care, with
the support of the hospital???s staff and resources. Practice
Details: Call Schedule: Provide call coverage on the specified
dates, with potential for recurring assignments as needed. Be
available for emergency deliveries and obstetric procedures,
ensuring the well-being of both mother and child. Patient Volume:
Handle a steady flow of deliveries, with approximately 30 per month
in a facility equipped with 5 labor, delivery, recovery, and
postpartum suites. Requirements: Licensure: Must hold a current
Texas state medical license. Board Certification: Board eligibility
or certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are
