Occupational Therapist Location: Waco, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,186 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Occupational Therapist 1 Profession: Therapist Specialty: Inpatient Rehab/Acute Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 1 year minimum experience in Inpatient Rehab/Acute Care License: BLS Certifications: AHA Only Must-Have: Bachelor's degree and two years' experience or Master's degree with less than one year experience Description: The Occupational Therapist 1 plans, organizes, and provides professional services in restorative, functional, and preventative therapeutic programs to patients. Clinical practice includes evaluation and occupational therapy treatment planning to facilitate rehabilitation of the mentally, physically, or emotionally handicapped. Works closely with patients and families to establish and meet treatment goals. PATIENT CARE: Evaluates, treats, and monitors patients. Modifies therapy program and goals as necessary. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. COMMUNICATION: Communicates effectively with patients and families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team. Provides education to patients, families, and staff. CLINICAL SUPERVISION: Supervises support staff, students, and volunteers. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review, and implementation of evidence-based practice. Shares knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines. ORGANIZATIONAL FOCUS: Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns individual goals and work activities to support or impact the system goals. KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: Must possess problem-solving skills necessary to accomplish the job. Must possess good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients and their family members. Exhibits strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team. Assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers. Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard rehabilitation equipment. High attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.
