Global Pharmaceutical Marketing supporting Global Pharmaceutical
Franchise , you will be trusted to help build and define Alcon’s
global pharmaceutical business during a critical phase of growth.
You will own global portfolio strategy, lead?market launch
frameworks, and cross?asset commercialization strategy, while
partnering closely with R&D and Business Development &
Licensing (BD&L) to shape pipeline priorities and accelerate
innovation. This is a rare opportunity to help build and define
Alcon’s global pharmaceutical business at a pivotal moment of
growth and transformation. As Alcon continues to expand and elevate
its pharmaceutical portfolio, this role will play a central
leadership role in shaping how we develop strategy, launch
innovation, and engage customers globally. This role requires a
leader who combines strategic vision, analytical depth, and
hands?on execution to create new ways of working and unlock
sustainable global growth. This will be out of our Fort Worth, TX
office. In this role, a typical day will include: Global Strategy &
Portfolio Management Serve as a central architect of the global
pharmaceutical portfolio, contributing to achieving on/above?target
performance for the $600M business, including priority brands in
Glaucoma (Rocklatan®, Rhopressa®, Simbrinza®) and Dry Eye (TRYPTYR®
and Eysuvis®). Build portfolio scenarios integrating market
dynamics, patient flows, competitive moves, supply/S&OP
constraints, and payer policies; recommend resource allocations and
trade-offs. Launch Excellence & Commercialization Develop and
deliver the commercial strategic playbook and partner to execute
core assets through the commercial programming process.
Operationalize launch blueprints, governance cadences, and
readiness scorecards with KPIs to drive cross-functional
discipline. Provide annual brand guidance to regional partners to
inform local business plans. Serve as brand champion, ensuring
customer insights inform positioning and segmentation. Insights,
Forecasting & Analytics Define best?in?class forecasting and
scenario?planning approaches for pharmaceutical assets, elevating
how decisions are made across the organization. Conduct
evidence-based market valuations and analogue benchmarking to
inform lifecycle ambition and governance decisions. Analyze market
trends, business performance, and competitive activity to guide
global strategies and forecasts. Market Access, Pricing & HEOR Help
shape payer strategy for launch assets: value narrative, evidence
needs with HEOR, pricing corridors, GTN modeling, distribution/Hub
strategy, and pull-through plans. Define 3–5 year access plans
integrated with annual brand planning; partner with Finance to
align forecasts to latest market events and access assumptions.
Innovation, BD&L & Voice of Customer Be a key voice in shaping
the future pipeline, partnering with BD&L and R&D to
evaluate, prioritize, and integrate new pharmaceutical innovation
into Alcon’s long?term growth strategy. Lead customer positioning
and segmentation; commission/design research to validate claims and
messaging. Work with global strategic insights to identify unmet
ECP and consumer needs; develop, test, and refine new products and
claims. Collaborate with Digital/Analytics to implement digital
marketing and omnichannel strategies. Operations, S&OP &
Financial Stewardship Provide commercial leadership into S&OP
(manufacturing planning, allocation) and capital requests; connect
demand signals, launch phasing, and supply scenarios to business
outcomes. Monitor and control brand budgets, forecasts, and spend
pacing; track ROI of key initiatives and reallocate to
highest-return activities. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: Bachelor’s
Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high
school 18 yrs.; Assoc.14 yrs.; M.S.7 yrs.; PhD6 yrs.) The ability
to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English 10
Years of Relevant Experience 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Leadership in global/US strategic
marketing, launch excellence, portfolio strategy, or market access.
Ophthalmology and/or specialty care experience strongly preferred;
proven cross-functional leadership. Hands on tactical focus, with
the capacity to scale up to work with strategic decision makers.
Strong pharmaceutical background and experience in strategic
marketing and BD&L evaluation. Quantitative Skills: Forecasting
and scenario planning, market modeling, GTN waterfall, pricing
corridors, ROI analysis, and launch readiness metrics. Ability to
synthesize insights into actionable strategies and communicate
