lifetime. Job Summary and Qualifications The Congenital Heart
Center Fetal Cardiac Nurse Coordinator drives clinical excellence
by optimizing physician workflows, streamlining the transition from
prenatal diagnosis to postnatal intervention, and managing the
intricate logistics of high-acuity fetal cardiac cases. This highly
specialized clinical RN role ensures the delivery of high-value,
quality-driven care while mitigating risk and improving the
experience for both the medical team and the expectant family.
Collaborating across specialties, such as fetal cardiology and
maternal-fetal medicine, the coordinator oversees the entire
continuum of care, from initial testing through pregnancy and
post-birth, while integrating operational policies to ensure
seamless communication and effective problem resolution. What you
will do in this role: Collaborate with Maternal Fetal institute,
Perinatal and Congenital Heart Navigation to efficiently optimize
prenatal fetal care (testing, counseling, interdisciplinary team
meetings, transfer of care appointments) for acute and non-acute
fetal cardiology patients Develop/facilitate a comprehensive
patient care management plan including complex care coordination
and delivery strategies, including fetal-surgical conferences,
delivery plans, and transition through L&D, NICU, and CICU.
Manage a closed-loop communication system with referring providers,
ensuring the seamless exchange of consultation notes, test results,
and referral data to identify program growth opportunities.
Oversees fetal diagnostics by triaging and monitoring fetal
echocardiograms across all satellite locations to ensure clinical
appropriateness, diagnostic consistency, and timely follow-up
Coordinates interdisciplinary fetal cardiac case conferences
Coordinates health care to Fetal Cardiac Program patients and
families including: Attend counseling sessions to serve as clinical
expert, primary point of contact, and advocate for high-acuity
fetal cardiac medical decision support; Provide clinical advocacy
and "live" communication during high risk deliveries, serving as
the expert liaison for the cardiac team in the delivery suite.
Proactively identify and resolve systemic barriers to care
Participate in data collection and analysis for research projects
lead by fetal cardiologist team members What qualifications you
will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30
days of employment start date (RN) Registered Nurse Bachelors
Degree in Nursing required 3-5 years of RN experience preferred;
experience in pediatric or fetal cardiology strongly preferred
