Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH is seeking a Senior Engineer to drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions to enhance 5G wireless operations. This role will focus on creating scalable and efficient AI-driven systems for network optimization, predictive analytics, and real-time decision-making. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of AI/ML capabilities into DISH's 5G infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI/ML and GenAI models to optimize 5G network performance, including traffic management, capacity planning, and fault detection.
• Integrate large language models and other Generative AI technologies into backend systems for automation and insights.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI/ML solutions with 5G infrastructure and transition responsibilities from previous resources.
• Enhance AI pipelines for scalability, real-time data processing, and seamless communication via APIs.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and leverage cloud-native technologies for scalable AI/ML deployment and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, ensuring best practices in AI/ML development, security, and performance.
  
  Skills, Experience and Requirements
  
  Education and Experience:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred)
  • 6+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, GenAI, or a combination of software development and AI-driven solutions, with extensive expertise in integrating AI/ML into enterprise-scale applications
  • Strong track record of delivering scalable AI/ML systems, including experience in telecom or 5G wireless operations
    Skills and Qualifications:
    
    • Expertise in AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn, with hands-on experience in Generative AI and LLM fine-tuning.
    • Strong understanding of 5G wireless networks and telecom-specific AI/ML applications.
    • Experience designing and optimizing production-grade AI pipelines for real-time decision-making and predictive analytics.
    • Proficiency in cloud-based AI solutions using AWS services like SageMaker, Lambda, EKS, and S3.
    • Strong programming skills in Python, with expertise in Pandas, NumPy, Apache Spark, and API development for AI model integration.
    • Skilled in CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and AI/ML security, compliance, and accessibility best practices.
      Salary Ranges
      
      Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $133,700.00/Year
