Job Description:
Superintendent Reports to General Superintendent; Director of
Operations Job Description Oversees staffing requirements,
generates logistical plans, and maintains a thorough knowledge of
schedule preparation and execution. Is ultimately responsible and
will be held accountable for the timely completion of projects and
ensuring that projects are constructed in strict accordance with
plans, specifications, and local codes. Superintendent shall
schedule all subcontractors, consultants and vendors, as well as
ensure their completion of work within time allowed. Accountable
for the coordination of work directed in the field, ensuring work
is performed in accordance with plans/specifications. Conflicts or
revisions to the plan shall be communicated with the proper team
for mutual resolution, prior to execution of work that deviates
from the approved plans. The Superintendent shall establish and
enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality
completion of construction. Supervisory Responsibility
Superintendent shall supervise all Foremen, subcontractors,
consultants, and vendors daily. This supervision shall ensure
adequate manpower for each task and compliant work performed.
Essential Functions Pre-Job/Post-Job Planning - Actively
participates in pre-job planning and helps develop cost-effective
solutions and strategies Safety - Identifies compliance with
safety, health, and environmental quality standards by all parties.
Administers corrective actions on safety and audit violations;
ensures that proper safety equipment is available and used
Productivity - Drives strict project schedules, ensuring milestones
are reached and deadlines are met Inspections - Coordinates
required inspections with local jurisdictions Daily Log - Maintains
a daily log of construction progress, utilizing photo and written
documentation Timely/Accurate Field Documentation - Ensures proper
paper flow/information reporting from the project to the office;
appropriate use of the reporting system set-up in Project-X;
documents in accordance with job requirements Walks - Performs
daily walks to monitor activities; performs final walk-through and
warranty with clients after project completion Field/Subcontractor
Coordination - Actively participates in pre-work meetings with
subcontractors to familiarize all subcontractors with the project
schedule, construction methods, company procedures and policies,
and quality standards expected Customer Relations/Communication -
Maintains positive, continuous communication with customers as
needed, with Project Management Quality Project - Constructs a safe
and reliable project that meets or exceeds the customer's
expectations; if results are not as expected, takes responsibility
and takes charge to improve Scheduling - Schedules subcontractors,
equipment and tools required to accomplish the job in a safe and
efficient manner; provides weekly updates to Project team Other
Duties - Performs other duties assigned by the Director of
Operations, General Superintendent, or President Education and/or
Experience Minimum of five years of verifiable construction
experience; experience in commercial and design-build construction
is preferred Thorough knowledge of trades and computer literate
Software experience in Procore & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, &
Outlook) desired Ability to read and interpret documents such as
blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals required Experience in leading and resolve
problems amongst 30 subcontractors and vendors Skills and

able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned. Physical Demands The

duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors Overtime may be
required to meet project deadlines While performing the duties of
this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use
hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or
balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift
