The role supports implementation and improvement of the quality management system (QMS) at an individual manufacturing site within a global multi-site QMS. Team member works closely with the Value Stream Manager(s) to comply with customer specific requirements and the Enterprise Quality and Compliance Manager to meet QMS requirements.Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for leading site level Quality Management System, processes, and maintenance
• Implements quality system and procedure improvements (in-process inspection and calibration)
• Leads team improvement projects including Kaizen events and other lean initiatives.
• Responsible for non-conforming and corrective action processes
• Responsible for Internal and external customer audits
• Performs Production Part Approvals (PPAP)
• Performs First Article Inspection (FAI)
• Performs Quality at the source (In-process Inspection)
• Communicates and updates quality objectives/key measures
• Conducts training for essential quality needs to employees
• Maintains quality records for any applicable standards, certifications and regulations Qualifications & Skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate expectations and instructions to all levels of the organization, effectively
  • Proven experience identifying root cause, developing solutions to problems and continuously improving systems and processes
  • Proven project management skills
  • Prior experience with data entry and report analysis in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Ability to develop statistical process control and data analysis methods
  • Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Strong math skills related to reading and converting technical drawingsEducation & Experience
    • 5-10 years of experience as a Quality leader in an ISO9001 or aviation/space/defense (AS9100) environment, required.
    • A bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience), required.
    • American Society for Quality Certifications, strongly preferred. (Certified Quality Control Technician, Certified Quality Auditor, or Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) Travel - Some travel will be required.Why Join Us?
